To maximize Vault security, users can add a recovery email address which will be used to initiate the Vault recovery process, and will also receive security related communication for your Vault. Users can also add Social Guardian Emails. Any time a restoration attempt is made, your Social Guardian email address(s) are notified, and have the ability to stop a potentially malicious Vault recovery attempt.
